LAKEVILLE — The Taunton Civic Chorus has awarded its 2024 Bob Keith Memorial Scholarship to Apponoquet High School Senior Peyton Parent of Lakeville.

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from a greater Taunton area high school who has been an active participant in an organized musical activity such as chorus, band, drama or dance, and has been accepted into a two- or four-year degree program.

Peyton will attend the University of Rhode Island this fall and plans continue in theater and music, most likely, she has said, in a choral setting or through private lessons. She hopes to minor in music.
