Lakeville man, 19, shot, killed in Dorchester
BOSTON -- A 19-year-old Lakeville man has been identified as the victim of a shooting in Dorchester Monday, June 22.
Police responded to a report of a person shot at about 7:38 p.m. in the area of 115 Milton Ave. in Dorchester, according to Boston police.
When officers arrived, they found Jalen J. Tavares, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was located at 6 Selden St., in the rear of 115 Milton Ave., suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Boston EMS.
The Boston Police Department Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Homicide Unit detectives at 617-343-4470.
