Lakeville Fire Department asks for hydrant help
Feb 04, 2026
LAKEVILLE — After the recent snowfall, the Lakeville Fire Department is asking residents to help keep Lakeville safe.
Many fire hydrants around town are still buried, the departmet stated in a press release, and the department is asking for help clearing them of the snow buildup. Lakeville firefighters have been patrolling around town this week to clear as many hydrants as they can.
The department is asking for the community’s help to reach them all. If residents have a hydrant near their home or business, fire officials ask residents to take a few minutes to shovel it out.
“A cleared hydrant can save critical minutes during an emergency and those minutes can make all the difference,” the deparment stated.
