MIDDLEBORO – Vocalist John Murelle and pianist Chris Morris will present “Blue Skies,” a look at Irving Berlin and his music, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 at Middleboro Town Hall.

Berlin was an innovator of popular songs during the first part of the 20th century. Berlin dominated Broadway and the airwaves during this era. His songs defined the Tin Pan Alley sound and the ideals of America in much of their work.

Singer and historian Murelle has been sharing his knowledge and musical performances with audiences throughout New England for years.

The concert is funded with support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Admission is free and refreshments will be available for purchase with all proceeds being used to strengthen the Friends of the Middleboro Public Library’s mission to support community engagement.
