High school sports head to the playoffs, here’s the schedule
It’s playoff season for high school sports, and between Apponequet Regional and Middleboro High Schools, eight teams have punched their tickets to the postseason.
The qualifying Apponequet teams are as follows:
Baseball. The team ended the regular season with a 10-10 record and was placed at the No. 16 seed.
They will play No. 17 Taconic (11-8). The date and time for the game are TBD.
Softball. Placed at the No. 3 seed, the team will play the winner of Fairhaven vs. Worcester.
The girls finished the season with a 17-5 record. The date and time for the game are TBD.
Boys tennis. With a 16-1 regular season, the team received the No. 4 seed. They will face No. 13 Boston Latin Academy (12-6).
The date and time for the match are TBD.
Girls tennis. After a 15-3 season, the No. 11 seeded team will play No. 22 Tewksbury Memorial (10-6).
The match is scheduled for May 29 at 4 p.m. at New Bedford High School.
Boys lacrosse. After a 14-3 regular season, the boys received the No. 2 seed and will face Shawsheen Valley Tech, who finished 17-1.
The date and time for the game are TBD.
Girls lacrosse. At the No. 8 seed, the 16-3 girls will play the winner of Tewksbury vs. Upper Cape Regional Technical.

The qualifying Middleboro teams are as follows:
Baseball. After a 13-7 season, the team received the No. 13 seed and will face Grafton (14-6).
The game is scheduled for June 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Middleboro High School.
Softball. The team received the No. 9 seed after a 15-5 regular season and will face No. 24 Hingham (10-10).
The game is scheduled for May 30 at 3:30 p.m.
