Great Ponds Gallery to showcase Middleboro artists
The Great Ponds Art Gallery at the Lakeville Public Library will feature works by Middleboro artists in its upcoming exhibition.
The Gallery will feature artists from the Oak Point Art Association for the months of September and October. Twenty members will be displaying their artwork, which showcases media ranging from oils to watercolor, acrylics, pen and ink, pencil, colored pencil, pastels, charcoal, scratchboard, photography and woodworking.
Artists whose work will be on display include: Scott Baptista, Ann Cederholm, John Crutchfield, John DeChellis, Judy DeChellis, Sheila DiIulis, Gail Dowd, Sandra Flanagan, Greg Gale, Vicki Giglio, Loretta Haynes, Janet Ilmonen, Donna Maligno, Bunny McLaughlin, Stephen Nourse, Phyllis Vincent, Cheryle Ward, Doug Wauchope, Bob Weikel and Stephen Williams.
Many of the artists are members of other local art associations and their artwork can be found throughout the United States and abroad. President of the Art Association Dottie Weikel said she is “proud” to be instrumental in showcasing the work of this “talented group of artists.”
A reception that is open to the public will be held Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Great Ponds Gallery. The show runs Sept 4–Oct. 31.
The show can be viewed anytime in September and October during the library’s normal business hours.
The gallery will not be open to the public before 4:30 p.m. the last two weeks in October and closed Saturday, Oct. 19 and 26 for voting.
