MIDDLEBORO — The Alley Theatre will perform “Oliver Jr.”, a youth version of Lionel Bart's classic musical starting Thursday, July 10.

Students from The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts will be performing “Oliver Jr.” at the Alley Theatre, located at 133 Center St., from Thursday, July 10, to Saturday, July 12. Showtimes include: 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and two shows on Saturday, July 12, at 3 and 6 p.m., tickets cost $28 per person.

“The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets,” wrote Lorna Brunelle, the founder of the Burt Wood School of Performing Arts and The Alley Theatre.
