Fun for all at felting workshop

MIDDLEBORO — Creating artwork out of felt is so easy that “anyone can do it as long as you can stab something with a needle,” said Kim Murphy, a participant in the the Soule Homestead felting class for adults.

Participants of the class used real wool from sheep to make artwork depicting winter landscapes. By using a stabbing motion, participants attached the different color wool to a frame made out of cloth.

“It’s very therapeutic,” Murphy said. “It’s quite fun.”

The class was taught by Linda Malis, who said that she hoped to provide more classes in the future.
