Fire in wall of home extinguished quickly by Lakeville Fire
LAKEVILLE — A fire at a home on Apple House Road was quickly extinguished early Monday, March 3 by the Lakeville Fire Department.
The fire was reported at 7:16 a.m. and is believed to have originated from an electrical issue within the exterior wall of the home, Fire Chief Michael O’Brien said.
The homeowner used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, he said.
Firefighters arrived on the scene within five minutes and found visible fire damage outside the structure and smoke inside the home.
When firefighters entered the building, they located a hidden fire in a wall.
Crews deployed a hose line but were able to extinguish the remaining fire with a water can, preventing further spread beyond the first floor, the chief said.
The fire was fully extinguished by 7:30 a.m. with no reported injuries.
The family was not displaced by the fire.
