East Middleboro 4-H Fair to take place Labor Day weekend

MIDDLEBORO — The annual East Middleboro 4-H Fair will take place Saturday, Sept. 2 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.and Sunday, Sept. 3 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 183 Thompson St.

Local 4-H members will gather to showcase what they have accomplished during the year, from showing their animals to displaying their static exhibits. The fair is also a fundraiser, with all proceeds going directly to East Middleboro 4-H activities.

Activities include cribbage Saturday, with registration at 9:45 a.m. Entry fee is $15.

The 27th annual Moe Briggs Family Horseshoe Tournament will take place Sunday, with sign-up at 9 a.m. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. Entry fee is $10 per player.

This year’s fair is dedicated to the memory of Gwen Easter and Richard Peters.
