DOROTHY (ARCHIBALD) SANDERS
3/21/1937 – 6/25/2025

Dorothy (Archibald) Sanders passed away on Wednesday, June 25th, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She was 88 years old and residing in the Wingate Nursing Home in Kingston, MA.  Dottie was the beloved wife of the late Donald A. Sanders and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Wilma "Minnie" (Joneck) Archibald.  

Dorothy was born and raised in Middleboro, where she graduated from Middleboro Memorial High School in 1956 with her beloved twin sister, Roberta.  They were known as the "Archibald Twins".  Dottie retired as a nurse's aide at the Lakeville Hospital, where she loved working with young children.  She and her husband, Donald, loved square dancing together.  She also enjoyed playing her organ, doing needlework, sewing, puzzles, traveling, and having the Holiday parties.  When she lived in Manomet and in Florida, she enjoyed walking on the beaches looking for shells with family and friends, with whom she loved spending much of her time with.  

Dottie was the devoted mother of Brenda (McKee) Washburn of Taunton; Sandra (McKee) Guidaboni and her husband Rodney of North Carolina; Debra (McKee) Frye and her husband Brian of Middleboro; Patricia (McKee) Ritchie of South Carolina; and Pamela (McKee) Moreau and her husband Michael of Hanson. She was a proud grandmother of 16 and a cherished great-grandmother to many. She was also a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings Ruth Archibald, Robert Archibald and his wife Evelyn, Donald Archibald, and her twin sister and best friend, Roberta Perrotta, and her husband Joseph. She is survived by her sister-in-law Hildegard Archibald of Kentucky.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
