Debra A. (Stark) McClelland, 63
Mar 23, 2026
Debra A. (Stark) McClelland of Middleboro passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was 63.
Born on August 26, 1962, in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Patricia V. (Harkness) Stark. She graduated from Middleboro High School in 1980.
Deb spent her career in customer service—but more than anything, she loved connecting with people. She dedicated many years to retail, working at Chadwick’s of Boston, where she formed lifelong friendships, as well as at Savas Liquors in Lakeville and Hannaford, where she was still actively employed. Whether behind a counter or simply sharing a moment, Deb had a gift for brightening people’s days and making others feel seen and valued.
She had a wide range of interests that kept her busy and fulfilled. Deb was an avid reader, with a truly impressive (and lovingly joked about) book collection. For many years, she and her beloved husband Frank took great pride in their yard, especially tending to their beautiful flowers. Her love of racing began in childhood and ultimately led her to meet Frank at her father’s South Middleboro garage when they were both young. Many Sundays were spent watching NASCAR and NHRA, along with cherished trips to tracks and races across the country. Deb also found constant comfort and joy in the companionship of her pets throughout her life, and especially in her dogs and cats—Gus, Ozzy, and Ziggy.
Deb was the beloved wife of the late Frank R. McClelland, III (2024). She was a devoted mother to Albert J. Farland, 44, of Middleboro, and Lexi McClelland, 31, of New Bedford. She was a loving sister to Laura Stark of Wareham and Johnnie Stark of Vermont, and she leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on March 28, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at O’Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street), Middleboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to the GoFundMe established to help with medical and related expenses: https://gofund.me/5fc0039e3
Deb will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, and the way she made the world a little brighter for everyone she met.
