Brian Day wins Lakeville Select Board seat
LAKEVILLE — Brian Day has won election to the Lakeville Select Board.
Day earned 585 votes. Maureen Candito received the second-most votes with 304, and William Hoeg received the third-most votes with 80.
“I’m really humbled to come away with the win,” Day said the morning after his victory. “It was great to see so many people come out and vote for their candidate of choice.”
Day will replace Richard LaCamera, who decided not to run for re-election to the Select Board after serving the town for the majority of the past four decades.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to work and getting things done,” Day said. “I want everybody who supported any candidate to know that just because their candidate might not have won, that doesn’t mean the things their candidate or themselves were interested in are any less of a priority.”
