MIDDLEBORO — Listen to a tale of hospitality and community at the Middleboro Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20.
The library will host authors Rosemary Haughton, Nancy Schwoyer and Kimberly French for a talk, reading, and reception on their new book, “Radical Hospitality: Transforming Shelter, Home, and Community, The Wellspring House Story.”
According to French, the book tells the story of Wellspring House in Cape Ann, a home that was founded by people who wanted to live together and share their home with others who needed one.
The book combines the narrative of creating homes and losing them, alongside an analysis of anti-poverty policy, French wrote.
“It is a cautionary tale about the misuse of power in nonprofits,” she wrote.
