Antonio Bernier, 74, of Middleboro, passed unexpectedly May 4th, 2025 surrounded by family. Known to most as “Tony”, he was born on April 17, 1951 in Augusta, Maine to his Mother, Marie Gloria Carr and father, Paul Emile Bernier. Tony was married to his beloved late wife, Debra J. Bernier for 25 years.

He is survived by his two sons, Antonio Bernier Jr, of Middleboro ,and partner Susie, and Joshua Bernier, and partner Carrie, three Granddaughters, Ariane Trudeau, and husband Cody, Aleisha Bernier, and partner Johnathan, Amanda Bernier, two Grandsons, Adam Bernier and Austin Bernier, and five Great-grandchildren, Codan, Brenson, Quentin, Freya, and Ezra. He is also survived by his three siblings, Pauline Cassiani, and husband Chris, Connie Whiting, and husband Steve, David Bernier and wife Jeann, Godchild, Theresa Cassiani-Begin, husband Chris, and many nieces and nephews.

Tony spent the early years of his childhood with his grandparents, who he admired dearly, before moving to Middleboro at age six, where he grew up. He worked at General Dynamics in Quincy, and then went on to work the shipyard at Stop & Shop for many years, until he retired. He was a humble man, who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures; He loved music, dancing, listening to the birds, being outdoors, especially at the beach, spending time with family and friends, hosting Halloween parties, caring for his cat, and maintaining his home.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Antonio, held on Saturday May 31, at the Mitchell Club, 29 Elm St Middleboro, MA from 11am -3pm.
