SouthCoast Mothers of Multiples celebrates decades of nonprofit work
Event Date:
LAKEVILLE — The SouthCoast Mothers of Multiples Group will celebrate 50 years of supporting mothers with twins and triplets.
The nonprofit will host their 50th anniversary celebration from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Heritage Hill Golf Course’s back nine, located at 17 Heritage Hill Dr., on July 20. Former and current members are invited.
At the event, a light brunch will be served and a slideshow commemorating the group’s members and history will be shown.
“I feel like these women are a whole other family that I have. It's just nice to know there's someone there to turn to who you know is going through the same thing as you. As we know raising kids is very difficult, but when you have two at the same time, there's just more challenges,” said President of the Southcoast Mothers of Multiples, Tara Thomas.
The group, previously known as the Greater New Bedford Mothers of Twins, holds monthly gatherings, parties and meetings where guest speakers share parent-centered information.
