Residents uninjured after Middleboro house fire

MIDDLEBORO — Two residents were displaced after a house fire at 126 Fuller St. Sunday night March 2.

The residents smelled smoke and safely exited the home at about 10:45 p.m., Fire Chief Owen Thompson said. No one was injured. 

Middleboro fire crews did “a fantastic job’’ and made an “aggressive interior attack’’ that kept the fire contained to the living room, the chief said. 

There was smoke throughout the home and water in the basement, he said.

Lakeville, Carver, Bridgewater and Plympton fire provided mutual aid. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Thompson said, but does not appear to be suspicious.

Crews were on the scene until about 2 a.m. The residents of the home are staying with famiy.
