Oh poo: There’s plenty to do at Lakeville library for February vacation

Feb 7, 2025

LAKEVILLE — Not sure what to do for February school vacation? Here’s a sampling of some activities at Lakeville Public Library, including an interesting look at poop.

Children in fourth grade and older can paint by sticker, a craft that is part puzzle, part work of art, and a night full of fun, Thursday Feb. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lakeville Library. Registration is required.

Children age 5 and younger can join Ms. Teresa for Music Time, a movement-filled, musical good time from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Comfortable clothes, sneakers and water are recommended. The event will take place inside the Great Ponds Gallery.

And here’s one that will get you going. Learn fantastic, fabulous, and fun facts about human, animal, and insect poop when the Poop Museum visits the library from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Learn about the world’s messiest pooper, the animal that has poop-attack powers, the animal that uses poop as protection, the rainbow pooper and the animal that has to hold its poop all winter.

Susie, the poop expert, will blend solid science with the hilarity that comes when talking about poop.

This program is supported by a grant from the Lakeville Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

To register or for more information, call the library at 508-947-9028. The library is located at 4 Precinct St.
