Freetown-Lakeville Girl Scouts moved Fourth despite the rain as Freetown hosted its Independence Day parade after a three-year break.
The Scouts were cheered on by hundreds of spectators who braved the rain to watch as veterans, sports teams, local businesses and other community members participated.
Most of the spectators sheltered themselves from the rain under canopies or umbrellas but their enthusiasm still shone through, observers noted.
