Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William Karalus and Anna (Kumalauski) Harris.  Bill grew up in Randolph and started working in his teens in retail supermarkets, primarily in the produce departments becoming a Produce Manager.  He worked for 38 years at Fernandes Supermarkets, as well as at Victory Super Markets, SuperPlace, Trucchi's Supermarkets, Wollaston Market located in Quincy and Jimmy's IGA in Wareham, retiring in 2008.  Bill was a great handy-man, able to fix things around the house.  He also loved being outdoors doing gardening and yard work.  He also enjoyed spending time at his "vacation home" in New Hampshire.  Family was very important to Bill, he always put family first; and he thought of others before himself.  Bill was a kind and loving man and he will be missed.

 

Bill was the beloved husband for 65 years to Carol (Cain) Karalus; loving father of Donna Colombo & her husband Robert of Middleborough and William J. Karalus, Jr. & his wife Kathy of Middleborough; cherished grandfather of Courtney Colombo & her fiancé Kevin Forward, Gail Colombo, William Karalus & his wife Alisha, Kelly Karalus, Holly Colombo & her fiancé Chris Crowley, Amy Karalus, Vincent Colombo and great-grandfather of Emilia Karalus; dear brother of Janet Curnutt of Maryland and the late John Dee Harris.
