MIDDLEBORO -- Volunteers are needed to help Middleboro honor veterans at two upcoming events.
Veterans and non-veterans are invited to replace veteran flags at area cemeteries Saturday, April 25.
Breakfast will be served for volunteers at 8 a.m. at the Middleboro Elks, 24 High St.
Participants will then meet at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Wood Street after breakfast.
The veterans office is also looking for volunteers to help the hometown heroes banners starting at 9 a.m. May 16 at Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Ave.
The banners will be placed at various locations throughout town. Each banner bears the name and service information of a local veteran.
