Vintage Vault brings childhood nostalgia to Thatcher’s Row

MIDDLEBORO – After years of building her personal collection of collectables and memorabilia, Tenille Langdon and her husband Christopher Langdon have opened Vintage Vault, a new store in downtown Middleboro, to start passing on their collection to new owners.

“We sell everything from vintage sports cards and memorabilia to modern day collectables,” Tenille Langdon said. “A lot of this was our collection from thirty years ago.”

The store is located on Thatcher’s Row, an alleyway in Middleboro. Some of the items in the store, like the historic baseball cards, can be worth thousands of dollars.

“We live in Middleboro, and we’ve been looking for a spot downtown,” Langdon said. “We just love the community and we wanted to be a part of the revitalization of downtown.”

Langdon said that the store attracts customers both old and young. Older customers get a sense of nostalgia from the items in the shop, she said.

“It brings them back to their childhood. There’s a lot of ‘I had that when I was a kid’ or ‘my mom threw that away,’” Langdon said.

Younger customers visit the store as well, and Langdon keeps the store stocked with newer items like Pokemon. But Langdon said that younger patrons appreciate the older memorabilia as well.

“I like to see the young kids come in. They ask questions and learn about something from the past,” Langdon said.
