Teddy Bear Picnic stuffs the fun into Town Hall
MIDDLEBORO — Kids had a bear-y good time at the Teddy Bear Picnic in the Town Hall ballroom.
Children brought their favorite stuffed animals for games, stories, songs, and balloon animals on Wednesday, June 7.
Youth Services Librarian Amanda Meyer hosted the event and read bear-themed stories including ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See’ by Bill Martin and Eric Carle. Naturally, the kids ran around the room, pretending to be each of the animals mentioned in the story.
Balloon animals were provided by Joe from Silly Faces with Sarah. He created an octopus, a few swords, and more creative things.
While the event was postponed from its original date of June 6 and moved inside due to bad weather, families still brought blankets and food to the picnic.
All in all, attendees had a bear-y good time at an event stuffed with fun things to do.
