Nov 27, 2022

MARION – The days are counting down for this year’s Sippican Choral Society Christmas Concert. For the concert, doors to the Wickenden Chapel on the Tabor Academy campus will open at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. The curtain will go up at 7 p.m.

The concert is under the direction of Darry Dolezal and accompanied by Michelle Gordon on piano and Dwight Thomas on organ.

“After two-plus years of pandemic-related isolation, everybody is ready to celebrate this Christmas season,” said Mike Chaplain, president of the Sippican Choral Society. “We have chosen some truly beautiful pieces of music, but we’re also hoping to send everybody home energized with some songs that are just plain fun.”

This year’s program includes traditional carols from England and Ukraine as well as American show tunes and an audience sing-along.

Tickets are $15 general audience; students are $5 and children under 6 are free.

For those that know one of the concert’s singers, tickets can be purchased from them. Tickets are also available at The Marion General Store, The Symphony Shop in Dartmouth, Isabelle’s in Mattapoisett, and Euro in Fairhaven.

Tickets will also be available at the door.
