Patricia Anne (Gillis) Willis, 80
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Anne (Gillis) Willis, age 80, who departed this life on October 31, 2025, at her home in Middleboro, Massachusetts, after a courageous month-long battle with cancer. Born on January 21, 1945, in Cambridge, MA, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late James J. Gillis Sr. and Grace F. (Powers) Gillis. She was a proud graduate of Middleboro High School, class of 1963, and dedicated over three decades of her life working as an assembly worker at Winthrop Atkins before retiring in 2006.
Patricia was a vibrant member of her community, actively participating in the Middleboro Council on Aging. Her love for life was reflected in her many passions, including an avid appreciation for reading, gardening, and supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their athletic events. A devoted fan of New England sports teams, she particularly cherished the moments spent cheering for the Patriots and the Red Sox. As a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro, Patricia found solace and strength in her faith.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynne M. Willis-Goodrich; her son, Robert L. Willis Jr.; her grandchildren, Ashley Gallagher, Jami-Lyn Willis, Kevin Huscher, and Robert Paul Willis; and her great-grandchildren, Kaylyn Gallagher, Thomas Lee Willis, and Olivia Haddad. Patricia is also survived by her siblings: Rose Texeira-McCartin and her husband Joe of Carver, Kathleen Genson of Arizona, Robert Gillis of Falmouth, Richard Gillis and his wife Kim of Raynham, and Charles Gillis of Arizona. She was predeceased by her siblings Grace Gillis Costa, James Gillis Jr., John (Jack) Gillis, Terri DiGiovanni, Michael Gillis, and William Gillis.
Funeral services will be held to honor Patricia's life and legacy. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. A funeral home service will follow on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Patricia will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Robert, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Middleboro, MA.
