Middleboro woman named to Habitat for Humanity post
MIDDLEBORO — Lynn Vecchi McManus of Middleboro has been named the new Volunteer Manager and Office Administrator for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth.
In this position, she will play a crucial role in recruiting and coordinating volunteers to support the organization’s mission of providing affordable housing to families in need.
She will be responsible for identifying volunteer opportunities, managing volunteer recruitment efforts, and ensuring a positive and meaningful experience for all volunteers. She will also speak about volunteer opportunities to various groups within the community, spreading awareness and engaging individuals to make a difference.
As the Education Director at School on Wheels of Massachusetts, she oversaw the operation of the K-12 tutoring program across 18 homeless shelter sites in 11 Massachusetts communities. She developed and maintained relationships with program partners, trained and supervised staff and volunteers, and ensured that the programs met the academic and emotional needs of students impacted by homelessness.
She lives with her family in Middleboro, where she has been active in the youth sports community.
