WAREHAM — A Middleboro woman was arrested Thursday, Dec. 19 after she allegedly shoplifted from the Target store on Cranberry Highway in Wareham, according to Wareham Police.

Wareham Police were dispatched to the store at about 2:45 p.m. for a report of an active shoplifting. Amanda Manning, 37, fled the store to a waiting vehicle before police arrived, police reported.

Police pulled the vehicle over and found Manning attempting to hide in the backseat, police said.

Manning had seven outstanding warrants in various courts and was placed in custody under those warrants, police said.

Manning was held without bail and the incident is being further investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division.
