Michael “Mike” P. Rhode, 56, of Middleboro, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2024 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Boston on August 29, 1967, he was the son of Mary (Hartnett) Rhode and the late Charles Rhode.

Mike worked as a cook in local restaurants such as The Hideaway. He was a diehard New England Sports fan. He had a big heart and a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving wife Jessica D. Matthews; daughters Kristina Rhode, Tayla Rhode, and Alexis Rhode; granddaughters Giovanna, Avery, and Harper; his mother Mary Rhode; brothers Charlie Rhode, Joe Ketchum, Derek Ketchum, and Jason Ketchum; many nieces, nephews and extended friends and family from California to Massachusetts.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-7pm on Sunday, September 8th at The Hideaway, 9 Station St., Middleboro. Arrangements by Russell & Pica Funeral Home, Lakeville.
