KINGSTON – Scouts from Middleboro, Lakeville and other surrounding towns participated in Merit Badge Mania on Saturday, Nov. 18.

According to Merit Badge Mania Chairman John Burbage, in addition to being a “fun day of fellowship” the event gave scouts the opportunity to earn badges and rank requirements. 

Scouts earned badges for activities such as archery, gun safety and citizenship. 

According to Burbage, over 200 scouts and adult leaders participated in the event. 

“It was probably the biggest registration that we've had since before Covid,” said Burbage.

In addition to the merit badge activities, scouts enjoyed a dinner cooked by aspiring Eagle Scouts who earned their cooking instructor badges. 

“It was a wonderful day,” said Burbage.
