Lions support food pantry on one-year anniversary
LAKEVILLE -- The Lakeville Lions recently congratulated the Lakeville Center for Active Living on the one-year anniversary of its food pantry.
Outgoing club President Alanna Thompson and new club President Chris Plonka represented the Lions and presented the center with a $500 donation toward the pantry’s needs.
Plonka pointed out that when people give money to Lions Club members who are holding boots for donations, much of that comes back to the community for gifts such as the pantry donation, scholarships and other forms of support.
“The Lions Club's kindness and continued support make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults in our community,’’ center director Lori Fahey said. “Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors.’’
