Life just got a little sweeter in Lakeville, thanks to Girl Scouts
LAKEVILLE — In a “Caring Cookie Caravan” of more than a dozen cars, several local Girl Scouts traveled from place to place on Good Friday to express gratitude and appreciation.
At each stop the scouts said their thanks and gifted coloring pages and Girl Scout cookies.
In one afternoon these Scouts visited the Lakeville Fire Department; Lakeville Police Department; Lakeville Animal Shelter; Lakeville Council on Aging; and the Freetown Police and Fire departments.
The scouts also plan to visit the respective town offices and libraries when they are open.
“These troops had a very successful season selling Girl Scout cookies thanks to the kind and generous people of Lakeville and Freetown,’’ Girl Scout Troop Leader Michelle Hecht said. “We are honored to give back to our communities and express our gratitude through these cookie donations.’’
