MIDDLEBORO – Lice Clinics of America –the country’s largest lice-removal network– has opened a new clinic in Middleboro located at 111 Center Street.

The clinic provides screening, diagnosis and treatment for people dealing with head lice using an advanced medical technology called AirAllé®, an FDA-cleared, Class I medical device clinically proven to kill live lice and more than 99 percent of eggs, including lice that are resistant to traditional lice products.

“Many parents find that treating lice at home is a challenge,” says Dr. Krista Lauer, medical director of Lice Clinics of America. “The easiest way to diagnose and treat an infestation is by having a professional do it for them.”

To celebrate its opening, the clinic is partnering with the Friends of Jack Foundation.

During the month of November, technicians will provide free head screenings for all customers who donate five dollars for a Hero Bear from the foundation.

“Hero Bears provide comfort to children who may be dealing with a difficult situation – whether it be a sickness, medical procedure or a domestic issue,” said Naomi Golden, who independently owns and operates the clinic as a Lice Clinics of America franchisee. “Our clinics provide comfort to kids dealing with head lice, so we thought this would be the perfect foundation to partner with.”
