Library gallery to host exhibit on interpretive art

Sep 9, 2022

LAKEVILLE — “Imaginative Interpretations of Fused Glass,’’ a display of interpretive subjects, brilliant colors and imaginative designs by artist Cherise Kratsa-Hoak, will be on display Oct. 22 to Dec. 8 at the Great Ponds Gallery in the Lakeville Public Library, 4 Precinct St.

Her work is the result of 20 years’ experience that goes beyond the basics of fused glass artistry. She salvages old windows and creates different designs within them. The goal is to make them look brand new but to maintain their old character.

A reception will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, when visitors can meet the artist and discuss her techniques.

The Lakeville Public Library and the Great Ponds Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The library is closed Sundays and Fridays.
