Chapter 40A, Section 5 as amended, the Planning Board will hold two (2) separate public hearings on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, beginning at 6:40 PM within the Select Board’s Meeting Room, Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, MA, for the purpose of providing interested parties with an opportunity to comment on the proposed amendments to the Town of Middleborough Zoning By-laws as follows:
40R Smart Growth Overlay District – Section 2.4 – Zoning Map - Expansion of MSGO (Middleborough Smart Growth Zoning Overlay Sub-District – Train Station) Overlay Map in order to meet the requirements of Chapter 40A, Section 3A – MBTA Multi-Family Zoning and Section 8.6 Smart Growth Overlay District (SGO) Bylaw – minor amendments.
Site Plan Review – Addition of new Section 9.5 – Site Plan Review
The complete text for the proposed amendments is available for inspection within the Planning and Community Development Department, Town Hall Annex, 20 Center Street, 2nd Floor, Middleborough, MA, Mon. 8AM – 6PM, Tues. - Thurs. 8 AM – 5 PM and Fri. 8 - 12 PM or via emailing BradleyL@middleboroughma.gov. Any person interested in or wishing to be heard on the proposed amendments should appear at the time and place designated.

Pursuant to M.G.L. Ch 131, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Lakeville Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on September 9, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, on an ANRAD Application. The applicant, 15 & 17 Harding Street Realty Trust, is proposing to confirm the demarcated boundaries of Bordering Vegetated Wetlands / Certified Vernal Pools on the property.
The project is located at 15 and 17 Harding Street and is also identified as Assessor’s Map 22, Block 2, Lots 019 and 019A.

The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to receive information and public comment on the following Site Plan Review, Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) application:
