INVITATION FOR PROPOSALS
Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 164, § 56D, the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department (or “MGED”) seeks proposals for the purchase of one (1) new Line and Service Body for an Aerial Bucket Unit to the Town of Middleborough.
Specifications may be obtained by requesting via email at bids@mged.com, calling Ali Golz at 508-947-1371 x106 or by visiting MGED’s website at www.mged.com
Pricing shall include all costs, warranties, and proposed contract terms. Sealed proposals shall be submitted to the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department, 32 So. Main Street, Middleborough, MA 02346, ATTN: Zachariah Hirschy, no later than 11:00a.m., Thursday May 29, 2025. Proposals will then be opened and read aloud publicly. Late proposals will not be accepted.

MGED reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive deviations and informalities, modify specifications, negotiate price, and contract terms, purchase items from multiple vendors, accept any proposal, and otherwise award the contract as MGED deems to be in its best interest, as determined by MGED in its sole discretion. MGED also reserves the right to purchase the vehicle from a statewide contract or through other procurement options authorized by G.L. c. 30B.
Proposals shall remain valid and binding for Sixty (60) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays excluded, following the submission deadline. No agreement shall be valid or binding on MGED unless duly executed by MGED.
