NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING MEETING

A Live Virtual Design Public Hearing will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the proposed District 5: Bridge Bundle Design-Build project in Mansfield, Wareham, and Lakeville, MA.
WHEN: 6:00 PM, March 29, 2023
PURPOSE: The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed District 5: Bridge Bundle Design-Build project. All views and comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
PROPOSAL: The proposed project consists of, but is not limited to, the design and construction of bridge deck replacements, bridge preservation, traffic management, pavement markings and signage, utility protection and other related bridge and highway work.
A secure right-of-way is necessary for this project. Acquisitions in fee and permanent or temporary easements may be required. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is responsible for acquiring all needed rights in private or public lands. MassDOT’s policy concerning land acquisitions will be presented in the hearing.
Project inquiries, written statements and other exhibits regarding the proposed undertaking may be submitted to Carrie E. Statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the public hearing transcript must be emailed or postmarked no later than ten (10) business days after the hearing is posted to the MassDOT website listed below.

Station Street Sale/Land Swap
Proposals are invited for the sale of Town-owned land, located at 15 Station Street, 2 Cambridge Street, and 10 Cambridge Street, all in Middleborough, for monetary consideration and/or in exchange for other real property suitable for public parking and located in the Downtown area.
Proposals will be received in the Town Manager’s Office at 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, MA 02346 until 11:00 AM on April 14, 2023, at which time proposals will be opened publically. The Town will award the sale of the Town Property, if at all, to the proposer whose submission is deemed the most advantageous based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the proposal package. Award is contingent on approval to dispose of the Town Property by Town Meeting. Proposers must be prepared to enter into a Purchase and Sale Agreement no later than 30 days after the date of award. Documents may be obtained beginning on March 15, 2023 at 8:00 AM in the Town Manager’s Office or via email to surettee@middleboroughma.gov.

Garbitt and Leo L. Pike, Jr. A Special Permit is requested under 7.4 and 6.1.3 to raze a portion of a pre-existing, non-conforming house located on a non-conforming lot and construct a new dwelling. The new dwelling will contain three (3) bedrooms in the new portion and one (1) bedroom in the existing portion, which will be an in-law (accessory apartment) The property site is 29 Staples Shore Road.
