The Middleborough Conservation Commission will hold a hearing under M.G.L. c. 131, s.40, the Wetlands Protection Act, for an after the fact filing for the repair and replacement of an existing dock and stairs within 200’ of a riverfront area at 101 Tall Oak Drive, Map 27, Lot 454. Hearing has been requested by Shawn Canha. Hearing will be held September 4, 2025 at 7:15 PM in the Select Board Meeting Room, at the Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue and via remote.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
LEASE OF THE PETER OLIVER, JR. HOUSE
The Town of Middleborough, acting through its Select Board, seeks proposals for the long-term lease of the Town-owned land and the historic building thereon, known as the Peter Oliver Jr.
House (the “Oliver House”), located at 445 Plymouth Street, Middleborough, MA and shown on Assessor’s Map 41 as Parcel 2867. Proposal packages may be obtained at the Town Manager’s Office from 8AM-6PM on Mondays, 8AM-5PM Tuesday-Thursday, and 8AM-12PM on Fridays, or by emailing JMulcahy@middleboroughma.gov. Proposals must be received in the Town Manager’s Office by October 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Award will be based on comparative evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP. The Select Board will award the lease at a regularly scheduled meeting within 90 days of the submission deadline. Select Board meetings take place at 7PM on Mondays at the Middleborough Town Hall.

According to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131, Section 40 of the Wetlands Protection Act, there will be a hearing on a Request for Determination of Applicability by Ned Niemiec to decommission the existing septic system and installing a new septic system abutting isolated land subject to flooding. The location of the project is 132 Bedford Street, Lakeville (Map 25 Block 6 Lots 2). The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at 6:30p.m. at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford St., Lakeville.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to M.G.L. Ch 131, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Lakeville Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on September 9, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, on a Notice of Intent filing. The applicant, Chris Walker of the Crystal Waters Anglers Club, is proposing an invasive/nuisance vegetation management program using herbicide and algaecide. The project is located at 29-31 Taunton Street and is also identified as Assessor’s Map 24, Block 4, Plot 10.

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Wright-Pierce Online Plan Room until the time specified below at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. A conference call will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 10 a.m. and bids will be publicly opened and read. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price. A link to the conference call will be sent to all registered plan holders prior to the bid opening. If anyone else wishes to attend, please contact Wright-Pierce to request a meeting link.
Plans and specifications will only be available electronically on or after August 27, 2025. Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found at the following designated website:www.wright-pierce.com/projects. Bidding documents may be downloaded from the designated website at no cost.
To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Bidder shall have obtained at least one set of Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office using the name that is to appear on the Bid Form.
The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to check the designated website for addenda.
A performance bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, as well as a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the total contract price.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to G.L. c.30, §39M.
The work under this contract is locally funded as well as funded using federal assistance provided by the United States Department of Treasury under the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”). Applicable provisions and specific requirements are included in the Supplemental Conditions in Section 00800. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
The Work consists of rehabilitation of a portion of the Town of Middleborough’s sewer collection system through the means of trenchless and point repair methods and all work incidental.

The Work consists of evaluation of a WPCF secondary clarifier influent gate at the Town’s WPCF including bypass pumping, gate inspections, and implementation of recommended gate rehabilitation.
