Lakeville library and Council on Aging work to help those in need this holiday season

LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Public Library and the Lakeville Council on Aging are collecting toiletries and grocery store gift cards for seniors in need. 

The collection drive will accept items including soap, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, tissues, toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, hand sanitizer and other toiletries. 

Toiletry donations can be placed in a marked-bin in the lobby of the public library, located at 4 Precinct St.

In addition, to help seniors access fresh and perishable food this holiday season, the council is accepting donations of one or more $25 grocery store gift cards. Gift cards can be directly donated at the council, located at 1 Deer Xing in Lakeville.
