LAKEVILLE — A vehicle caught fire in the driveway of a Southworth Street home Friday afternoon, but firefighters contained the blaze before it reached the house, according to fire officials.

Crews responded around 2:15 p.m. on May 23 after a caller reported the burning vehicle. When firefighters arrived, the flames had crept near the building.

The response team quickly brought the fire under control. The fire damaged only the vehicle, and no injuries occurred.

While wrapping up the response, units were redirected to a separate emergency involving an unresponsive adult male at another Lakeville residence.
