John E. Madej, age 83, of Middleborough, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John & Veronica (Shumsky) Madej. He worked many jobs; started as a tool and die maker, established a bartending business with great storytelling all around Boston including Southie, was a grower of annual and perennial flowers as well as a pumpkin farm and became a loan originator for mortgages at Direct Finance. John retired in 2008 and was a lover of the outdoors, especially working in his yard and gardening.

John was the husband of Lisa (Dwyer) Madej; father of Stephanie Madej of Taunton and James Madej of Middleborough; brother of the late Janet Swyers and Richard Paul Madej.

Services were held at the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak Street, Middleborough, on Monday, March 10, 2025.
