Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Doris (Meack) & James N. Pittsley, Sr.  In his younger days, Jim was a logger with his father, James, Sr.  He then worked for Assonet Industries as a laborer manufacturing electrical reels.  Jim enjoyed woodworking, country music, watching western movies and spending time with family.  He especially loved his "grand-dogs".

 

Jim was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (Wright) Pittsley; loving father of James N. Pittsley, III & his wife Donna J. Pittsley of Tennessee and Paul S. Pittsley & his wife Donna M. Pittsley of East Taunton; adored grandfather of eight, great-grandfather of five and great great-grandfather of two; dear brother of Lois Perry of New Bedford and the late Wayne Pittsley, Doris Baker and Laural Benson.

 

Funeral and interment services will be private.
