Hyannis Sound brings Cape style to Middleboro
MIDDLEBORO — Cape Cod comes to Middleboro Sunday, June 11 when Hyannis Sound performs on the patio at The Alley Theatre, 133 Centre St., in downtown Middleboro.
Hyannis Sound is an all-male cappella group based out of Cape Cod, made up of collegiate singers from across the United States. Dating back to 1994, the members of Hyannis Sound have gathered on Cape Cod around Memorial Day to begin rehearsals, before embarking on a rigorous performance schedule of over 100 public and private performances across the Cape and Greater New England over the months of June through August.
The group’s music has received dozens of awards in the world of a cappella music over the years, and the group’s members have formed strong bonds among one another, as well as with the local Cape Cod community.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the group persisted due to the strong support of its fanbase and alumni, and ended up increasing its social media following to over 700,000 across various platforms, garnering acclaim from Alicia Keys, Pentatonix, and Glamour Magazine along the way.
This is the eighth time Hyannis Sound will play at The Alley Theatre. Proceeds will benefit The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts scholarship fund
