Homeschool field trip to visit Middleboro Historical Museum
Event Date
MIDDLEBORO — Homeschool families can travel back in time at the Middleboro Public Library’s history field trip.
Participants will meet at the Middleboro Historical Museum Nov. 13 for the 1 p.m. tour of the museum and a chance to learn more about local history and see inside the former millhouse at 18 Jackson St.
The museum, founded in 1961, is run by the Middleboro Historical Association. The association restored the property and oversees the many artifacts in the museum.
It is home to a large collection of memorabilia related to Lavinia Warren and Charles Stratton, who found fame as part of P. T. Barnum’s circus. The couple owned a summer home in Middleboro.
Registration for the event is required. Learn more at the library’s website.
