Five troops each researched a country and made a poster about their findings. The Girl Scouts got to sample food from each country, make a small craft and watch short skits. Troop 77301 learned about Cape Verde; Troop 84476 learned about Portugal; Troop 64979 learned about Nigeria; Troop 82171 learned about Uruguay, and Troop 62922 learned about Romania.
Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day has been organized by the Girl Scouts to create a day for worldwide friendship.
The day supports the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement to speak out on issues that affect young women and fundraise for scouts across the globe, according to the Girl Scouts of America organization.
