George, the son of George H. Dubord, Sr. and Emma M. (Cabral), loving husband of Charlotte Jean (Bolduc) (predeceased), passed away on November 3rd at his home surrounded by his family.  He is survived by his two daughters, Susan “Sue” (Dubord) Weintraub, her husband, Steven and Cheryl (Dubord) Smith, and her husband, William; his sister, Nancy Mullen, her husband, Stephen and his brother, James Dubord and wife, Diane. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Grace, Emma, and Sarah.  One of his greatest joys was being their “Bebe.”

George graduated from Middleborough High School in 1959.  He joined the Navy and served four years until being honorably discharged in 1963.  He married Charlotte in 1965 and began work as a corrections officer in Concord, MA.  After moving to Middleborough in 1969, he began his 30-year career at Massachusetts Correctional Institution (MCI)-Bridgewater, where he retired as a Captain in 1995.  After his retirement, he walked several miles daily.  These 5 to 10-mile walks, reading mysteries, and watching old TV shows became his favorite hobbies.  He remained a loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan and never missed watching a game.  He moved from Middleborough to New Hampshire to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren and enjoyed being a part of their daily lives.  His gentle spirit and quiet, thoughtful wisdom will be missed.
