Fire Department keeps Assawompset Elementary field day cool

Firefighters got an extra chance to practice operating the hose.
LAKEVILLE — The Fire Department stopped by the recent field day at Assawompset Elementary School to cool things down.
After a long day of activities under the sun, water sprayed from fire hoses was a welcome way for the kids to relax and refresh. Plus, students got an up-close look at a fire engine.
Lakeville Fire Department Lieutenant Greg Bradstreet and firefighters Danielle Bentley and Patrick O’Donovan supplied the spray, which doubled as an opportunity to practice using the hose.
