MIDDLEBORO — True Grit Art Gallery will bring the works of poets and visual artists together at its upcoming ‘Poetic Visions’ exhibition, which runs from Sept. 14 to Sept. 28. 

On Sept. 14, the Art Gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibition from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees will be able to view artwork produced by visual artists and hear poems read aloud by local poets during the event, which is free and open to the public. 

The exhibition is a visual expression of poetry. True Grit Art Gallery accepted poems submitted by local poets earlier the summer. Five poems were selected and assigned randomly to 40 artists, who accepted the challenge of transforming the written word into artwork. The art will be exhibited at the gallery alongside printed poems on the opening night of ‘Poetic Visions.’  

True Grit Art Gallery is located at 38 Center St., Middleboro during the gallery’s normal business hours.
