Eva (Sager) Atwood, 92

Dec 4, 2023

Eva (Sager) Atwood, 92, passed peacefully in the night on November 7 at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleborough, MA.

Eva was born July 14, 1931 to the late Homer Sager and Margaret (Welch) Sager in Jamestown, NY. Eva raised her three children in San Diego, California until her love of Vermont brought her, her children and her mother back to Burlington, VT. She had a long, faithful career as a bookkeeper for a local real estate investor. Eva was an artist, seamstress and interior designer at heart and she used her skills generously to fill her home and community with beauty and love. Upon entering her carefully curated home you would always find a project or two (or ten) in the works, often for friends or neighbors or an upcoming church event.

Eva’s spiritual journey led her to faith in Jesus and to a loving Christian community at Redeeming Grace church in Fairfax, VT.  They were a family to her for many years and she was loved and admired as a delightful, generous and kind woman.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Jim), Brian, and Alan who are grateful for her persevering spirit; her grandchildren Katie (Dan), Amy (John A.) and John; who were blessed by her presence in their childhood years and her great grandchildren Owen, Eviana, Isaac, Cadence and Abram.

Celebration of life will be held on December 9, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Grace Chapel, 115 Mechanic St,  Foxboro, MA 02035

Arrangements are by the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street, Middleboro.
