Elliot Farm wants to help families in need
Nov 1, 2022
LAKEVILLE — Attendees at Elliot Farm’s second annual harvest festival raised $7,500 to feed local families in need in 2023, farm staff reports.
The fund-raising effort continues. The farm hopes to raise $60,000 to provide 100 free farm shares to local families that struggle with food insecurity.
They are asking everyone who attended the festival to donate $30. This would allow the farm to reach the goal instantly.
A farm share provides eight months of farm fresh fruits, vegetables and essential groceries to each recipient family.
To donate, mail a check payable to Farm & Community Collaborative to 2 Mark Twain Dr, Lakeville, MA 02347. To donate with a credit card, visit: https://www.elliotfarm.org/donate.
