An eggs-cellent adventure on Middleboro Town Hall lawn
MIDDLEBORO — “Eggs!’’
That was the excited call of one enthusiastic child viewing the array of colorful confection-filled eggs on the Middleboro Town Hall Saturday, April 8.
After organizers counted down from five, children shrieked and ran toward thousands of eggs on the lawn, many in plain sight, a few tucked away near bushes or otherwise a bit more challenging to located.
Soon those eggs were in the baskets of energetic youngsters who attended the annual Easter egg hunt hosted by Meetinghouse Church.
“It’s something fun to do, something Easter-is’’ said Isabel Howard, who brought along year-old Henry Howard for his first egg search.
Julian Lavista, 8, described the day as “fun’’ as he and his mother Alysssa Lamere checked out his haul. “I got so many good candies.’’
Kim Leighton of Halifax smiled as 21-month-old daughter Olivia Leighton checked out the event. “We like to support the church,’’ Kim Leighton said. “I like that it’s very organized.’’
